M+M | Lost Gulch, Boulder Elopement

Megan and Meredith came to Colorado from out of state to elope on a mountain top, just the two of them. They got ready at the unique Ramble Hotel in Denver’s River Art North District and I was able to capture their first look in their hotel room, which was so special. Then we moved on to the rooftop where a “Wish You Were Here” sign felt symbolic of eloping during 2020. In typical Colorado fashion, snow came out of nowhere on the way to Lost Gulch Overlook in Boulder but luckily M+M came prepared with hand warmers and blankets! They embraced the cold and said their vows on the mountain top exactly as they had envisioned for their day. Then we moved down the mountain to Chautauqua Park in Boulder to run around in the fields and pop a bottle of champagne to celebrate their marriage. Intimate elopements like these where it’s just me + the couple are so meaningful to be a part of because I get to witness the happiest day of someone’s life and capture it to show to friends and family who couldn’t be there. Celebrating the diversity of love in all of its forms is the best job ever.
