Blackstone Rivers Ranch, Colorado Wedding Photography

If you are thinking of getting married in Colorado, Blackstone Rivers Ranch is one of the dreamiest venues to host your wedding! Pro number one is that it is close to Denver nestled in Idaho Springs (about 1.5 hours driving, so easier to access from Denver International Airport than some further mountain venues.) Not only is it an easy drive, but it packs in a lot of the beauty Colorado has to offer, so your guests will feel immersed in our state’s unique nature. It may not have those sweeping high-elevation mountainous views, but there is so much more to Colorado than just the mountains! The river flowing through the venue provides a gorgeous welcome as you walk over the footbridge into a tree-lined ceremony and reception site. The reception tent looks fantastic in photos and is always surrounded by lush greenery and flowers in the Spring and Summer. Everything about this location gives a mystical enchanted forest energy (especially paired with the log cabin indoor part of the venue where you can get ready!)

I adored Lauren and Garrett’s wedding here, of course because L+G are two of the coolest humans I’ve ever gotten to hang out with on a wedding day. They are SO down to earth and have such wonderful vibes radiating out of them at all times. Also, Garrett’s reaction to seeing Lauren during their first look was one I will never forget. I love when grooms let ALL the emotions out while seeing their bride for the first time! I was lucky enough to get to see these two again for a post-wedding session in the Poudre Canyon which is a significant spot in their relationship, as well as a branding portrait session with Lauren. I love when I get to keep connecting with my couples even after their wedding day. I truly feel like the people I get to work with become lifelong friends after spending one of the most important days of their lives together.
