L + A | Chautauqua Park Boulder, Colorado Wedding
Some words I would use to describe L+A’s wedding are intimate, cozy, and warm (despite the temperature outside!) Their day focused on embracing each other & the special people in their life, while sharing fantastic food together in the loveliest atmosphere. The snow was not predicted, but actually ended up adding to the coziness of their day.
They were able to move their ceremony from outdoors at Chautauqua Park to inside of Oak, a restaurant in Boulder, Colorado that also catered the reception and made some of the yummiest food my taste buds have ever gotten to experience. Although the ceremony was moved, we were still able to capture plenty of snowy couple photos with Chautauqua’s Flatirons in the background. L+A also braved the snow for their first look which was so worth it and I think the emotion from this part of the day totally drowned out any sensations of feeling chilly. Their ceremony definitely had me feeling extra emotional when they highlighted how far LGBTQ+ rights have come in the fight for marriage equality and how thankful they are to share this life together as wife and wife. These two inspire me so much as a couple, as moms to their dog Henry, and as individuals who spread nothing but warmth everywhere they go. Their celebration of marriage was the perfect reflection of who they are and made me feel so welcome and in love with capturing these kinds of memories.
